Unique Messaging
Over the last few weeks we started a series looking at reasons why video is an important part of your social media strategy and how to optimise the medium for maximum impact. The first three parts dealt with Hooking your Audience, Search Optimisation and Driving Conversions. This week we are going to deal with Unique Messaging.
When you post a video on social media, it is like having a conversation with your audience, so it is important to keep your messaging simple. If you try to deal with too many different topics at once, your audience will soon lose interest. With your call to action in mind, your video should tell a story that leaves viewers wanting more. If you’re adding something to the video that doesn’t contribute directly to the call to action, you should probably remove it. It is better to re-edit long, complex videos into concise clips that contain one clear message. This also means you can transform one long video into a library of interesting video content which can be used for your social media marketing campaigns as well as your website.
