Driving Conversions: How to optimise the medium for maximum impact
Over the last few weeks we started a series looking at reasons why video should be an important part of your social media strategy and how to optimise the medium for maximum impact. The first two parts dealt with Hooking your Audience and Search Optimisation. This week we are going to deal with Driving Conversions.
Your video should always have a goal, regardless of which social media channel you are using. This goal could be to drive traffic to your site, share your video or purchase a product. Your call to action is your virtual handshake with your viewers.
If a viewer has watched a video right through, it indicates that they are interested. They then need to be shown how to take the desired action. It can be as simple as “To find out more visit here” or as direct as “Buy now”. It is no good having great content if you don’t use it to drive conversions.
